The main activity of the trading company TEAL AD from Tetovo is the production of aluminum alloys and profiles. The company was established in 1979 as an integral part of the then complex for aluminum profiles and processing - "ALUMINA" from Skopje.

Ten years later, in accordance with the Law on Enterprises, in 1989, TEAL was registered as an independent enterprise, to become a joint stock company in 1991.

In 1999, the dominant owner of TEAL, with 53%, became the German company RAKU from Obernburg – Germany, and since then it has been operating as a joint stock company with majority private capital.

The main activities of TEAL are:

– production of aluminum logs, block for deoxidation and alloys;

– production of pressed aluminum profiles, pipes and bars;

- production of aluminum accessories, consoles for the electrical distribution network, etc.

TEAL is an export oriented company. Over 90% of the production is intended for foreign markets, namely Serbia, Germany, Austria and Slovenia.

The main raw material in the production process is pure aluminum in the form of ingots, with a purity of 99.7% - 99.8%.

The production process, implemented in TEAL, is actually an integrated production system, which starts with melting the raw material, pure aluminum in 5t induction furnaces, with the addition of other alloying elements, such as copper, silicon and magnesium; and ends with a finished product – an aluminum profile with different cross-sections and shapes.

The production process is divided into two main stages: – process of production of aluminum alloys in the form of logs, ingots; – extrusion of the logs into profiles with different cross-sections, followed by heat treatment where necessary.

The annual production capacity is about 2000 tons of finished product, in three shifts. Management was able to increase production capacity with improvements made in the process itself and in technology. At the moment, the company is operating close to maximum capacity utilization.

Over 90% of the production is exported. The main export markets are Serbia, Slovenia, Austria and Germany. Direct buyers are divided into two main groups: manufacturers who use aluminum profiles in their production process and wholesalers. TEAL's production is organized exclusively according to confirmed customer orders.

Worldwide, there is a great demand for aluminum profiles. Aluminum alloys have proven to be the right choice for a number of applications due to the strength of the material in terms of its low specific gravity. The global aluminum profile market is estimated at over US$26 billion.
